First official European Congress on Clinical Psychology and Psychological Treatment of EACLIPT

Early Career Research Program

As part of the pre-conference program of the first official European Congress on Clinical Psychology and Psychological Treatment of EACLIPT, we are organizing workshops and networking events that are catered especially to Early Career Researchers (but are open to all participating researchers).

Workshops:

We will be offering two workshops that will take place on Wednesday, October 30th 2019 (more information on workshop times and venues will be announced in August).

Workshop 1: The Promise of Transdiagnostic Approaches to Understanding and Treating Mental Disorders (Thomas Ehring, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, Germany)

This talk discusses application, as well as advantages and disadvantages of transdiagnostic approaches in the context of clinical psychology research and practice.

Workshop 2: Open Science in Clinical Psychology: Benefits and Concrete Tools (Helen Niemeyer, Freie Universität, Berlin, Germany)

This workshop aims to give a short introduction to different aspects of Open Science in Clinical Psychology relevant to scientists and practitioners alike. Topics will cover replication crisis, questionable research practices, and publications bias, but will also discuss pre-registration and registered reports, open access, data sharing, and transparency as well as data protection and anonymization.

Networking:

Following the pre-conference workshops, we would like to invite you to join us for an informal get-together to connect with other researchers from all over Europe and to experience what Dresden has to offer!

Before the official start of the first official European Congress on Clinical Psychology and Psychological Treatment of EACLIPT on Thursday, October 31st, we would like to invite master students, doctoral students, post-docs as well as non-tenured staff members to a meeting of Early Career Scientists at the EACLIPT. This meeting is thought to offer possibilities for networking and exchange among European Early Career Researchers.
